TATVA Pre-School is a venture started by IIT-IIM Alumni with many years of experience in the field of education. Education has the power to transform lives - a power that has no parallel. Every child has within, the potential to be someone in life; to achieve; to excel. It is education that transforms this potential into reality and enables today's children to be tomorrow's happy and productive adults. Having experienced this transformation in our own lives, we at TATVA have now dedicated ourselves to creating an environment that makes it possible for every child to grow into the adult that he/she was meant by nature to be. Our goal is, in very simple terms, to ceaselessly strive for excellence in education.

Directors
R Vidyalakshmi – Managing Director and Principal
Vidyalakshmi is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad with 8 years of industry experience including 4 years in Consulting at Price Waterhouse Coopers Consulting at Chennai and 4 years as Director, T.I.M.E. Chennai training students to face a variety of competitive examinations. Prior to her MBA, Vidya had done her BE in Computer Science & Engineering from NIT Allahabad followed by a 1 year stint at Infosys Technologies, Bangalore.
S Balasubramanian – Director, Special Initiatives
Balasubramanian is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad with nearly 10 years of experience in the area of education. Shortly after his MBA, Bala entered the area of training students for a variety of competitive exams training students in the age-bracket of 12 years and upwards. Prior to his MBA, Bala had done his B Tech in Aerospace Engineering from IIT-Madras followed by 1 year of work in Usha International in the area of marketing and a short stint at Feedback Ventures and Collaborations.
Between them, our Directors have a rich experience of training students aspiring for academic success and a solid grounding in what it takes to provide quality education, especially at the higher levels. It is this understanding that forms the foundation of TATVA.
Teachers
Our teachers and care-givers are carefully selected to ensure that they fit into the culture of the school. Coming from a variety of educational backgrounds, they all share a passion for working with children and believe in the importance of education, particularly early childhood education in a child’s life. They all relate to the view that early childhood education should be child centred and child directed. . Each child learns in a unique manner and our teachers are flexible enough to encourage each child to learn at her own pace. Once they are selected to work with TATVA, they all undergo an in-house training programme which takes them through the salient features incorporated in our pre-school programme.
“TATVA” stands for “Axiom”. Axioms are those self-evident and fundamental truths that form the foundation of all our knowledge and understanding. Having the right axioms enables us to lead a better and happier life. Our education will correspondingly aim to instil in children the right axioms for their life. Children would be encouraged to learn through a proper combination of experience and reasoning.
Our logo shows 3 people holding hands and forming a circle around the letter “t” for TATVA. It reflects our basic outlook that education is something that happens when student, parent and teacher work in harmony based on the right axioms and with the objective of enabling the child to face the challenges of life.
