Welcome to TATVA
TATVA is a school founded on a few simple principles. The chief among them is the strong conviction that the purpose of education is to enable the transformation of the child into a purposeful, happy adult who strives for excellence in his/her chosen endeavours and makes confident career and life choices. It is a process of metamorphosis – an evolution. Unlike commonly perceived, it is not the role of the educator or the educational institution to mould children and “prepare” them to face the challenges of the real world but rather to aid the full development of every child into the individual he/she was “meant to be”.

TATVA sees itself as an institution that enables children to bloom into purposeful, happy adults who strive for excellence in their chosen endeavours and make confident career and life choices.
The proper role of a school in a child’s life
Education is a transformational process. It starts with the stimuli that the child receives from its environment. The educational environment called the school is the source of these vital stimuli. The biggest challenge for any school is to organise these stimuli such that every learner undergoes this positive transformation. At TATVA, the proper organisation of stimuli according to the age and stage of development of the child is a matter of utmost importance.
What effective education should be and do
A good education system must be developmentally appropriate. Children are evolving human beings who need to be met where they are, intellectually, physically, emotionally and spiritually. It should be child-centric and instill a love of learning in the children. The content as well as the process of learning need to be such that children engage deeply with them and derive joy from the act of learning.
Good education should focus on the timeless knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that will help them face the vastly changed world they are likely to face at the end of their 15 year sojourn at school. This is especially important in these days of rapid change when the hot topic of the day is very likely to be old hat when the child enters the real world. In fact, education should prepare children to thrive in the midst of change.
These are the principles that form the cornerstones of education at TATVA.
To demonstrate our commitment to excellence in education, we are choosing to be a certified Cambridge International School. We will prepare children to eventually appear for Cambridge Certifying Examinations such as the IGCSE and the A-levels.
Why Cambridge
Cambridge qualifying examinations are comprehensive, internationally renowned and recognised across the world. Closer home, the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) recognizes Cambridge qualifications. Students who have cleared the Cambridge A levels are eligible to apply for admission to top educational institutions abroad as well as Indian institutions like the IITs, NITs and AIIMS, top Medical Colleges, Law Schools, Schools of Architecture and many others. So, clearly, being a Cambridge International School will leave all doors open for our children in the future.
More importantly, unlike various Indian boards of education that force children into rote learning and strip the educational process of real learning, the Cambridge examinations promote sound and deep learning. The solid foundation provided thus will stand the children in good stead as they step outside the school into the real world to shape their own lives and careers.
